Does your schedule match your priorities?
Or are there some things there that are left over from your priorities in the years before?
One of the practices I like to follow is to do a complete overhaul of my to-do, list every 6 months and see if some of the tasks and habits are no longer useful or serve me in my current work.
And then I ruthlessly slash, slash, slash the stuff that’s not useful to make space for the ones that matter.
And add the ones I need to stay on track with my goals
Some tasks I added recently:
- Signing up and scheduling time for a writing course
- Scheduling 45minutes of reading time
- Setting aside time for planning my meals for the day/week
Some habits I’ve slashed:
- Responding to every email right away. If it can be responded to later in the day or tomorrow, then let’s do that.
- Answering work calls after 7 pm.
- Signing up for more than one learning activity at a time.
What do you want to add or remove from your schedule? What would make it more aligned to your priorities?
